Dr. Ashley Dominguez - Veterinarian

Ashley Dominguez

Dr. Ashley Dominguez, known to clients as Dr. Ashley, received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2025, graduating Cum Laude.

Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and palliative care. She is Fear Free Certified and is dedicated to making every veterinary visit as low-stress and comfortable as possible for both pets and their owners.

Dr. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University, where she spent a large portion of her undergraduate career. During her time there, she founded a volunteer program that placed students in animal shelters throughout the Houston area to help provide medical treatment for foster pets. This initiative allowed her team to care for over 500 shelter animals. She also helped coordinate the removal and transport of over 100 dogs and cats from euthanasia lists in local shelters to rescue groups in northern states, giving them a second chance at life. Serving her community is one of Dr. Ashley’s greatest passions, and she is committed to continuing that work throughout her career.

During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a veterinary technician while attending school. This hands-on experience gave her valuable insight into the many facets of veterinary medicine and helped lay the foundation for her future as a clinician.

Dr. Ashley met her fiancé during undergrad, and the two went on to attend veterinary school together, graduating in the same class. Her fiancé now practices as an associate veterinarian in the Cypress area, and together they’ve made a home in Katy, Texas. They share their lives with a spoiled, one-eyed cat named Olive and a silly, lovable Boxer mix named Milo.

While in veterinary school, Dr. Ashley was actively involved as an officer in both the Sheltering Vets Club and the Palliative Care Club. She also had the unique opportunity to extern at Sienna Plantation Animal Hospital throughout all four years of veterinary school. Here, she was mentored and supported by the team she now proudly joins as a doctor. SPAH played an integral role in her development, and she is excited to give back to the community that helped shape her.

Outside of work, Dr. Ashley enjoys reading, trying new foods, watching new TV shows, and exploring different activities and hobbies. She is always looking for new ways to grow, both personally and professionally.

Dr. Ashley is also happy to offer Spanish-speaking services to help make veterinary care more accessible to all members of the community. She looks forward to forming lasting relationships with her clients and their pets through trust, empathy, and excellent communication.
